 Kjeld Apel Rasmussen (kar@strandbo.net) 05/04/2009Hi Monica & Ulf Last year in Coco-Loco Island (Roxas, North Palawan) I met a couple from Elsinore, who advised me to look further north to the Calamian Group and left me with a leaflet on Coral Bay Resort. So this year, 9 years after my first visit to the region it was The Calamian Group revisited, the last 5 days at Coral Bay. Here I found nature at its beauty from the large unspoiled house reef to the lush mangrove forest and the majestic rocks with their small sandy coves. I learnt to appreciate the pier facilitating water activities even at low tide, the free kayaks and paddle boats, interesting trips with the dive boats - although not a diver my self, the cleanliness an practical and tasteful arrangement of the resort; last but not least the healthy and delicious meals with lots of greens and fruit. Throughout my travel in the Philippines regularly since 1977 I cannot think of any place that gives better or even the same value for money as does Coral bay to travellers who want more than basics without taking to sheer luxury. My only regret is that my stay was too short, but that can hardly be blamed on anyone else but myself. I shall make up for that next year. I shall return!  Virag and Gergo (viragtoth@yahoo.com) 01/04/2010We would like to thank you for our wonderful holiday. When we arrived to the island, I thought this is a real paradise... and it was. A resort with amazing, cozy bungallows, with its own wonderful coral reef, with a familiar, quiet restaurant and fabolous dinners. We loved this familiar atmosphere, the unique isolation of the island, the barefooted meals :) and the great dives around the wrecks. It was really wonderful. Thank you so much! |
